Rebekah Newell - Editor

Rebekah is an English major with a minor in marketing. Rebekah is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but lived in Bandung, Indonesia for seven years before moving to Kerrville to attend Schreiner University. Rebekah wants to work for a publishing company after graduation, either on her way up as a copy editor or in their marketing department. She loves exploring new things from poetry to camping spots

 

Taylor Tisdale - Editor

My name is Taylor Tisdale. I am a senior English major at Schreiner University with a minor in Psychology. Writing, researching, and reading have always been strong passions of mine and I am grateful to have gotten to hone in on those skills to make them a profession. I love horseback riding and very amateur painting. I’m excited to work with The Muse and see all the awesome pieces y’all submit! 

Keirstin Pratt - Designer

Keirstin is a junior communication design major with a minor in photography. She is currently building a tiny house and strives to travel the world. She is the owner of her own business, KGP Studios. On the side, Keirstin creates fine art.

Anna Arce - Designer

My name is Anna Arce, the publication editor for the Muse. I am a senior majoring in Communication Design and minoring in Psychology from San Antonio. I enjoy drawing, music, knitting, and all other creative outlets. A fun fact about myself is that I traveled to Germany for two weeks with the Schreiner Choir. 

 Sally Hannay - Faculty Advisor 

Professor Sally Hannay earned her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa's Writer's Workshop.  She has been teaching writing for 30 years, and when she has some creative energy to spare, she writes poetry. Her collection of poetry, They Aren't Your Ducks, will be published by Resource Publishing in spring of 2020. This fall she began her 15th year teaching for Schreiner University. She loves the romantic and modern poets, long hikes with her husband and her dog, and musical theater.
